Salim Aziz is an internationally recognized cardiac and thoracic surgeon with extensive experience in heart, lung, and heart-lung transplantation,
and unique access to influential individuals in key Willigent markets.
Aziz runs a thriving, cardiovascular and thoracic surgery practice in Washington, D.C.,
serves as clinical professor in surgery at The George Washington University,
lectures nationally and internationally. Formerly associate professor
of surgery at the University of Washington, Seattle, he has served on the Circulatory System Devices Panel of the FDA Medical Devices Advisory Committee, has an ongoing role in developing and evaluating emerging biomedical technologies, and advises investment groups interested in medical devices and biomedical trends.
Aziz earned his medical degree at St. Mary's Hospital Medical School at the University of London (U.K.), and completed extensive postdoctoral training in London, Cambridge, and the U.S.—including a research fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center.
