An unparalleled, automated intrusion-detection solution, the Willigent Invisible Fence™ System enables customers anywhere in the world to achieve comprehensive 24x7 coverage of extended linear tracts in areas where traditional security measures are simply not feasible or effective.
Using a unique synthesis of secure wireless telemetry, location determination, and advanced sensor technology and networking, IFS offers government and commercial entities an innovative and cost-effective strategy to help protect valuable assets in remote, inaccessible, volatile and/or insecure areas of the world. The System works in any type of terrain and all kinds of weather, including flash floods.
IFS is designed to be an integral component of a comprehensive security solution. It offers adequate warning of, and accurate information about, intrusions, enabling customers to deploy rapid reaction forces with maximum efficiency, where and when needed.
The foundation of the Invisible Fence System is a network of wireless devices embedded with advanced sensors. These IFS sensors are capable of transmitting data, voice and imagery over vast distances in real time. This wireless network can interface with existing satellite, microwave and fiberoptic systems to create a single, seamless intrusion-detection and communications system.
Designed to detect and locate intruders in specified zones configurable to any distance required, IFS’ intelligent sensors also compute location, speed and direction of intruders and/or intruding objects, relaying this and other information securely, in real time, to remote Network Operations Centers anywhere in the world. Security personnel stationed in these NOCS can easily monitor each IFS component and quickly respond, as appropriate, to detected intrusions. The use of redundant NOCs—in widely dispersed, secure locations—substantially reduces the risk of an interruption in monitoring.
Monitoring devices feed data, voice and imagery into the NOC. The System then translates these feeds into information displayed visually on a computerized map depicting the border area, pipeline, mining operation or other tract(s) under surveillance. The map uses iconography to depict each component of the system, and any intruders or intruding objects.
The System's advanced sensor technology—and extraordinary resilience and reliability—provide benefits to customers beyond intrusion detection. For instance, pipelines generally employ standard fiberoptic or other wired networks to monitor pipeline operations—for example, variations in oil-and-gas flow. Should vandalism, terrorism or natural disaster disrupt these wired transmissions, IFS can automatically function as a wireless backup system, seamlessly transmitting vital operations data back to the NOC.
